CY Calculator provides simple, fast online calculators for everyday measurement and planning jobs: the CY (cubic yard) Calculator, the Mulch Calculator, the Concrete Calculator, the Gravel, Topsoil and Sand calculators and the Square Feet Calculator. They help you work out how much soil, mulch, gravel, concrete or flooring a space needs.

How the calculators work

Every calculation runs in your browser using plain, documented formulas. Your numbers are not sent to a server or stored. Each calculator page explains its formula, shows worked examples and lists the unit conversions it uses, so you can check the result yourself.

Accuracy

Calculations keep full precision internally and only round the number you see. Even so, results are estimates based on the measurements you enter. Real jobs involve uneven ground, compaction and spillage, so confirm quantities with your supplier or contractor before ordering. See our Terms & Disclaimer.

Funding

The site is free to use. To cover hosting costs we may show advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are labelled and kept separate from the calculator controls. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
